I Hate Old People

Mood - Foul

Ya~~~

I went over to my new house and it’s really near to completion! It’s possible that sheep will be moving out next week! (Rejoices)

I hope the next time I blog, it will be in the comfort of my new bedroom, surrounded with a lovely floral wallpaper~! (Laughs)

But I might not be able to blog next week because it’s going to take some time to set up the Internet and phone line. So I guess I better not let the blog be too idle, hence this entry.

Initially I thought of blogging a tribute to my current neighborhood and share with everyone good stories about my neighbors. Then again instead, I’m in quite a foul mood today and would like to vent my anger — about old people.

After this entry goes public, I can foresee that during my last day as a mortal — God is going to show me this entry and tell me this is why I’ll go to Hell. <_  _>lll

I can’t help it…I hate old people!

Old and wrinkly is fine. Overly talkative? That’s bearable. Forgetful? I can close one eye. Smelly? There’s perfume.

BUT — I can’t stand those who live in the past AND can’t stop condemning the current technology, methods and lifestyle!

Living in the past and disliking how technology helps the society is alright. Just shut up and stop forcing us to accept your opinions.

The major thing I hate about old people with this mentality is that they not only disagree but they force you to agree with them and worship their era. I don’t give a shit if they accept or put down my opinions however, they don’t have that neutral and understanding attitude. They always have to win!

And if their charisma can’t lead them to that cheap victory, they will start using their authority as a senior citizen that we youngsters should respect them no matter what shit comes out from their mouth.

Let’s take cellphones for an example. The elderly people that I know often talk trash about cellphones saying that young people spend too much time meddling with those little noisy bricks. I do agree that young people play with their cellphones too much that in times of family gatherings, they can’t stop smsing.

There was one commercial promoting Digi’s talk time which featured a family sitting at the dining table but instead of talking to one another, they were all talking on the phone, leaving the little girl who apparently has no phone, staring at her family members, feeling left out.

This is a very stupid commercial because it encourages people to spend more time talking to other people on the phone than your own family members. Furthermore, it’s rude to talk and play with the phone when eating with your family.

I understand and agree with the old folks that this is too much.

Then again, now that I think about it properly — I think I can understand why young people do that.

It’s because it’s difficult to talk to old people!

Everything you say, they will counter with their absolute experience and whatever you’ve been through is nothing compared to theirs. They don’t like to talk about NOW; they like to talk about BEFORE.

Even if they do speak about today, it’s just to condemn it.

You can’t voice your opinions because they think you’re too young (and dumb) to differentiate black from white and whether they are right or wrong, it doesn’t matter because you are half their age — you can’t say anything.

With that said, what’s there to talk? All you can do is listen.

But listening can pain your ears especially if you know what is right and wrong — in other words, think!

It’s like, “You’re wrong! It’s this! Not that!” but you can’t say it out because the old man is going to school you — which will pain your ears even more.

So what can you do when meeting them?

Play with your phone lo.

Pretend to be occupied so that you don’t have to talk or listen to their windbag of diarrhea lo.

I do that too. I would look at pictures of my Auwlithe because it’s so pleasant to look at him and think of him than listening to the old folks condemn about us young people. I rather let them believe I have no opinions of my own than to start a one-sided argument.

Speaking of one-sided, they are quite selfish. They will expect you to memorize all the things they like and hate but remember not your favorite things. When they do remember, they can’t exactly remember the name.

There are pros and cons to everything yet they keep stressing that their time was perfect and whatever they had were better. If so, why did they phase out then, dummy?

They want to say we are bad — the heck? In your time, people don’t commit crime at all?

You think you all so humble and simple? Please! Last time you all do bad things that people don’t even do now!

My mother told me stories of her childhood life and it shocked me to know that such things can happen. But I’ll save these stories for another time.

How about pedophiles? Old man’s crime.

One funny thing I find about this old folks is that — they talk trash about technology, and yet some of them uses high-tech gizmos.

If you bring their hypocrisy up to them, they would probably tell you, “Well, you don’t sell the manual thing anymore so I have no choice!”

True…And on they go with their complaints about how difficult today’s gadgets are.

It all the more proves this proverb to be correct: You can’t teach old dogs new tricks.

They just refuse to learn. And they will give all sorts of excuses not to learn. Eyesight problem, physical disabilities — Whatever.

They want to say we young people can’t do manual things? Screw that! We can still learn; we aren’t that stubborn!

Whereas you old folks, give you a basic cellphone — I tell you — how long only then can you start sending out text messages or punch in a phone number to make a call — to the right recipient.

If your eyes are fixed with laser surgery, would you try looking to read instead of asking other people to read for you?

You see, some old people stop trying. I don’t give a damn about this nor will I loose any respect for them but I get really pissed when they become so egoistic and stubborn.

So flabbergasting! The more I think about this the more angry I get. Sometimes when I have to talk to this kind of old people, I always tell myself it doesn’t matter what they say, just use mind over matter.

After all, they are going to die soon anyway.

Sheep is really fed up. There’s one person with this attitude that I have to deal with every single day!

I wish to rant more but I think it’s wise to stop here. No point complaining here because it won’t stop this person from tormenting me. I did tell the person about how I feel but that person refuses to budge. What to do? As I’ve been ranting, this is the main shitty attitude that I can’t stand from old people.

RAR! <OAO>

By the way while I was half way typing this entry, my house had a short circuit and there was no electricity for awhile.

Could it be? God was trying to tell me not to post this entry? That I should repent and retreat my thoughts?

[ . . . ]

Can’t be helped. This is the truth — I hate old people. Not all old folks for there are some whom I enjoy their companionship — but those as said above are the ones I despise!

RARRRR!!!!

WWRRRYYYYYY!!!!

Mood: Fatigue

Hay! <^▽^>/

This month, sheep is going to be very preoccupied and might not have time to blog regularly. Well, my new home is estimated to be ready by end of March so there are lots of things to do like packing, shopping, selling the unneeded furniture and other stuff. Of course, I’m going to bring Auwlithe with me! I can’t live without my baby! (Laughs)

By right, my family was supposed to move in last month however, the renovation work were done at a slow pace because of Chinese New Year; a couple of weeks gone to resting. Now that the holiday mood has subsided, the renovation is picking up fast! Y~ay! <^▽^>/

Those who are curious about where sheep is going to relocate herself, just know that sheep is still within her current state. (Laughs) Sorry, sheep really loves staying here than her hometown. <^-^>lll

Well, sheep will blog more about her new home once she has moved in. For now, let’s talk about fortune telling! <^ω^> (Laughs)

You know, forecasting your future and luck. I usually don’t think about wanting to know my future nor my past. I never had that curiosity. I mean — I used to read my daily horoscope but I got fed up upon reading “Love is coming your way” which — for 9 years straight — never happen. Think it was a cruel joke played on sheep… <TAT> (Tears)

Though I enjoy reading about personalities based on horoscopes. This — will get to this some other time. <^へ^>

As I was saying, I only begun thinking about it weeks ago, after my brother had the opportunity to consult a medium whom is quite renowned for her accuracy that even top notch people consults her wisdom and advices.

Anyway, my brother asked about his love life and how does his love looks like. (Laughs) I think this is a typical question that any individual would ask, right? Something about their love life.

Usually when people consult a medium, it’s either to learn about their wealth, health and love life — or all 3 combined. Another purpose could also be keeping in touch with their departed ones while some people may seek to learn about their past.

There are lots of different reasons to seek a medium — for the good or evil intention.

So I’m just thinking right now — Why do people wish to know about their future? It’s only a matter of time we get there, I should think. Is there something we’d want to prevent? I know some people are eager to make things fall into place thus they seek mediums for supernatural help. Or they need a sign for their next step in life? For some sort of assurance and certainty? Sheep has no clue! <≥A≤>/

But I can tell you! If sheep is ever given a chance to speak a clairvoyant (who is not a fraud and won’t charge sheep any fees *Laughs*), I would love to get true answers to the following questions that has always pique my curiosity:

  1. Does the Lochness Monster really exist? How does it look like? <.__.>{?]
  2. Who is Jack the Ripper and why did he kill the prostitutes? <.__.>{?]
  3. Where is the Ark of Noah? <.__.>{?]

[ . . . ]

(Laughs)

Sheep is so lame…Yea… <¯へ¯>lll

As much as I’d love to know my love, how he looks like, where he is, what is he doing — I prefer he tell and show me himself than through the mouth of another. (Laughs)

Well then, reader-tachi~

If you could have 3 genuine answers about your past or future — what would you like to know and why do you choose those questions?

Suppose it is something you wish to keep as a secret then — let’s just talk nonsense! (Laughs)

[ . . . ]

Don’t tell me that you are eager to know when you’re going to die! Touchwood! Pff! No good! <TAT>/

Mood: Shaken

Good evening~

This is sheep who received a forwarded e-mail which she think she should share with her fellow readers. <´•__•`>

It’s not a very nice piece of news, I must say.

This is regarding an incident that happened in 1U, a shopping mall located in Damansara Utama, Malaysia.

Though it happened there, the possibility of happening elsewhere may occur so I hope all the good and innocent people out there can be watchful of themselves especially in secluded areas like car parks and basements.

In this case, the victim was fortunate to escape unharmed. Thank goodness!

Here’s the content of the forwarded e-mail. ↓

Dear all,

You must have wondered why I asked of Carrie’s help to send the following message to all of you. Please take serious note in what I am going to tell you here. I would say that yesterday was a lucky day to me, if not, I wouldn’t be here alive to send this email out to you or to celebrate CNY open house to some of you who will be coming tonight.

I went to One Utama Shopping Mall yesterday after Tesco. Time was around 1pm. I parked my car at the old wing, B1 level near the Arena food court. I did a reverse parking and my car was indeed very near to the food court entrance. Those shoppers who went in and out can see me in

full view. Exact parking location was D4, in 3rd or 4th plot where the car turn in. It was indeed very close to the entrance.

As I came down from my car, I saw these 2 malay young adults walked towards me. I did not bothered at all cos I thought they were shoppers who want to collect their cars. I then went to the trunk to check on a bottle of clorox i bought in Tesco cos I was afraid the liquid may be spilt during the driving. It only took me a few second to put up the clorox bottle and then I closed the

trunk, I had not locked the car yet. Suddenly the 2 malay came very near me and took out a 1 foot long parang (a long knife use to butcher tree trunks) and pointed at me. I gave them my handbag. But that was not enough, they asked me to unlock the car and wanted me to go inside the car. They said “jangan bising, masuk

kereta, cepat.” (In English: Don’t make noise! Get in the car, hurry!)

At that point I was struggling, the car was actually still unlock. They commanded me a few times

to unlock the car, so in the moment of confusion, I pressed the button and I actually locked the car. They repeated their sentence asking me to unlock the car, and one of the Malay with parang was pushing towards the driver side.

In panic, I pressed the remote, this time the car was unlocked. The malay with parang then opened the car door trying to push me in. I looked at the situation, due the driver’s side car door was opened and there was another car parked beside my car, I only had a very narrow path to escape. Worse of all, I was afraid that half of my body might bang the car door and instead of running forward and out i would actually be pushed back

to the robbers who stood beside me.

I prayed very hard in my heart. Canny Ong’s case came into my mind. I can’t go inside the car, I kept telling myself, that was the worst thing to do. I prayed and prayed then I looked at the robber with parang, I noticed that he was looking down somewhere, the other robber was standing next to him. I saw the narrow path, I knew I must somehow get myself out of the path. In a split second, I seized the opportunity and run, thank God, somehow I managed to squeezed thru the gap and run out towards the crowd. I did not know how I did it.

Many people saw what happened to me. There was a lady grabbed me and tried to calmed me down. I do not blame those people for not doing enough to help me cos everyone was in panic and with a parang the robber can harm me in situation like that.

My husband and I then went to lodge report, I then asked of Carrie’s help to sent the following email first cos I did not know when I would be finishing lodging the reports with the relevant authorities. And some of you may be on leave today so you won’t be able to reach me via

handphone. All my money, mobile, credit cards etc in the bag were gone but my house keys which attached to the car key were still tightly clinched in my hand (this was another fortunate thing). I was still badly shaken inside even now. We reached home around 6.30pm after lodging

all necessary reports with Jusco Management and the Police.

Last night, we managed to talk to those top guns in the corporation and today we went into One Utama Jusco management office to view the CCTV. We all are in this together, we are trying to help out each other. Together with One Utama and Jusco management, we have formed a task

force to look into this serious case of robbing and kidnapping. Our main purpose is to make the shopping mall safer to all the shoppers like you and me in the future. What have happened was luckily not worse than what it can be…with all the “if”s… Inspector Zulmairi from Mutiara

Damansara told us that he has been handling One Utama Shopping Mall cases for long time and this was the first time he came across such serious case.

Please be extra careful and taking extra precautions wherever you are. I prayed that God keep

us safe under His wings. I actually prayed on the breakfast table that morning asking for God’s

protection from danger, harm and accident. God was listening.

To all of you who will be out with family and friends celebrating CNY or birthdays or gathering,

please watch out for each other. God bless you all.

Lay Pheng

(New mobile: 012 493 0237)

P/S: Do not spread news and tell people not to go One Utama cos that was not my intention and

spreading news like this will not help the situation. We will work together with the corporation to

push the security level to a higher notch. Prevention and tighter security measurement are what

we are after for. We do not want this to happen to any of you or your family member. I

am fortunate enough to be out of the situation, next victim may not be so lucky.

Off late, sheep has been hearing and reading crimes happening here and there. You may not feel much when reading from the newspapers or forwarded e-mails but it’s really terrifying to hear it from your friends and love ones who live nearby the crime scene!

It’s really a scary thought. (Tears)
