Ever Wonder Why? #1

Mood: Smiley

Dear ladies (and perhaps guys who can relate to this),

Ever wonder why… ↓

The mannequins look good with the clothes but when you wear the same clothes, you don’t see or get the same charm.

Sometimes when I see nice clothes on a mannequin, I would get the idea that the clothes could suit me but upon actually wearing, I find it totally hideous! The clothes are fantastic however, the problem is ME!

Irksome! The mannequin looks stunning but not on myself!

How come? <.__.>{?]

I demand answers!!! <`A´>/

I get the same problem, that’s why I go for the style rather than the exact clothes. That way you can mix and match to make the outfit work for you :) x

  4. TheRocketLife says:

Easy, mannequins are made with perfect body measures, so it’s to be expected that even a trash bag would look good on them.

I think men don’t really look at mannequins, in my case I just go and buy anything that fits me, if I like the style it’s a plus… but I know that kind of logic will never work for women since saying women’s fashion possibilities are ample is clearly an understatement.

    Dear Axileg and RocketDan

Not really. For some clothes, doesn’t suit me. But seriously, mannequins get away with anything on them, as Rocket has said too. Unfair! (Tears)

But I guess…We can take comfort in knowing that — suppose mannequins can feel, they would complain how tight and itchy the clothes are. XD

Though I don’t know what I’m trying to point out.. (Laughs nervously)

Dan, I think women have strong mirror neurons whereby when they see another person or something, they have the tendency to want to be like that person? Or some kind of Utopian mindset in which everything has to be perfect.
