Just got approached by a man at near FarEast Plza last night (in front of the escalator down to Orchard MRT)..the man is wearing tiger-pattern sleeveless top, bring ipad and he told me that he's a model, even he doesn't look like a model at all..LOL.
I just curious to see their presentation, i don't care whatever company they are running on.. , because i know that it's a scam.. Thanks to Aya for posting on this blog, saw a while how they try to fool me then after they asked me about bank account and ask me to pay 100$ for portfoio, I said "sorry i'm busy and i'm in a hurry".. He smile and said "oh , it's OK, if you don't have time with me... I'm a superstar le.. " (LOL..)
scam like that are often happened, I'm not a singaporean, I'm from another country, but my hometown is even more dangerous than singapore, that's why I'm getting to be very carefully on speaking or helping a stranger..
This is the first scam i found in Singapore.. and believe me.. they are (or maybe some of them) are using "BLACK MAGIC".
Will share with you guys... I experienced scam with "BLACK MAGIC" before, when i was in a college, it was happened outside the supermarket. There's 2 people asking for Direction... (OMG, it's only DIRECTION, not even for a MODEL OPPORTUNITY..) and i don't think i will get a hypnotized with helping them for a direction..but i did! We're talking for 30 minutes, and i feel like i can't control what i said anymore..as i can remember, we're talking about business and opportunities..They ask me about bank account and the balance..
but,so lucky.. as a college student, i have no much money at that time, i keep my saving on another bank with no ATM card.. ^^ and there's just few bucks left on my ATM balance enough for 1 month, they looked disappointed at that time and just let me go.. on my way back to my boarding house, i check everything on my bag, my earring, my wallet, my ATM.. all are save! Their target is only big amount because their appearance is very high-end, from hair to shoes, mobile, handbag, it's all branded item. It's RIGHT, if we should not judge a book from it's cover. ;)
"BLACK MAGIC".. i still can remember how it feel.. it feels like you know that their question about your account and money is insane, you still can think, but you completely can't control what you are saying and what would you do.
Usually they are doing their operation with few people acting as his fans, or maybe acting as another people to convince you.
I heard some story about this "BLACK MAGIC" on another place, and also my friend.. they lose their jewellery and lots of things at home.
They can control us just by touch. So, be careful guys.. :) never shaking your hands with a stranger.

@wx, I think we've just experienced the same thing. Lol. Anws, I was at city hall when he approached me yesterday and surprisingly this man doesn't have that china accent or whatever. I've been approached numerous times, had been to their interview and found out that we had to make a portfolio which costs 400+ dollars and that's where my intuitions came. That man told me exactly what WX said. However, when they called me just now, I asked that ill only agree if l don't need to make a portfolio, the lady startled and just blurred her way out. So yeah, be careful yo!!

Just got approached by a man at Bugis a few days back. He said he was from i models, pushed white name cards to my boyfriend and I, but this time it was different from being approached by other agencies/people because he actually told us that he was looking for people our age to walk around town wearing clothes from Forever 21 or Zara. He claims that these clothes are 'EXCLUSIVE' and WILL BE ours to keep after we finish, but we cannot sell them off. Sounds too good to be true but I believed him for a bit while he was persuading us 'cause he mentioned F21/Zara *_* He even told me the clothes I would be 'wearing' would be about $98 and my boyfriend's outfit would cost approx $148 or so? (Can't remember) Plus he also mentioned we'd be paid $200 a day, and we'll be needed for weekends only from Apr-May. He even told us no meals would be provided. Just got a call from them and they asked me to go down to Clarke Quay tomorrow at 2pm for the interview. Don't think I'll be heading down after reading all these, modeling isn't my interest anyway... Just wanted to share cos it really is too good to be true and the amount of money people said to have been conned of, woah scares me. I'm just a student and I don't have much money anyway~ Thanks for all the info guys!!!

I think that's the fastest way to shut them off.
