Mood - Energetic and bouncy!
Good morning, meat bags…and bones! ![]()
It’s November now. (Rejoices)
Not long ago I wished the Libras and Scorpios a happy birthday and now…To all the ‘later’ Scorpios and Sagittarius, please have a joyous birthday~![]()
Speaking of which, yesterday was Shien Yi’s 21st birthday, a friend of mine during high school days. So with good intentions, I rang her up and we did a bit of catching up with one another.
Somehow the conversation led to the topic regarding prank callers a.k.a creeps. You know, idiots on the other side of the line? I’ve blogged about this *here* but I would like to add more to it. (Laughs)
I’m pretty sure everyone has received prank calls at least once in their lives. A jackass rings you up, talks nonsense and even continues to harass you. Also, some callers are just damn weird.
Once on a separate occasion, a caller asked me if I was raped before and the other, a woman — who accused my home of being a snooker center where I’ve been shamelessly sleeping with her husband. <OAO>{!!!]
Champion la. 凸<¯へ¯>![]()
Disturbing, very much so. You can get all sorts of nonsense by these callers.
Well, you don’t only get this kind of harassment via phone calls but also through smses and even e-mails. The content of the messages can very creepy. They try to commence a friendly conversation by smsing, “Hi. How are you? Your name?” —- and slowly ask for your photo. <_ _>lll
Hey, you can sound chivalry all you want but nobody is going to buy that, coming from someone who dials the wrong number or don’t even know the name of the person that he needs to speak to. (← Baa~ More on this later!)
The scariest thing is you don’t know if this person actually knows you or resides in the same area as you do! <OAO>
Anyway, the best solution is to ignore such callers. Don’t reply and don’t answer their calls, smses, e-mails — whichever way they approached you. If your phone has the function to blacklist callers, do that by all means.
Or as mentioned in the other entry, get a male friend or family member to take the call. The caller would be damn terrified because they are cowards.
Suppose it gets a lot serious, go to the police~★!
At the moment, I don’t seem to be getting any phone and e-mail harassment so yes, I’m not being annoyed. Hurray! (Laughs) <´ω`>
However… <T_T>
Here’s another tick-off of mine concerning phone calls:
People who don’t seem to know who they want to speak to! ![]()
They are quite harmless IF they don’t persist on calling you more than once. But it does irk me whenever I pick up the phone and all they ever say is “Hello? Hello?”
And I’ll go, “Yes? Yes?”, waiting for them to state the name of the person whom they wish to speak to. Even if they got me on my cellphone, to be safe, I would like to know if this caller knows me first.
Instead, I get this stupid comeback, “Who are you?”
Now, why would I let you know my name without knowing who the hell you are? As my dear Homura♥ has said before, “Isn’t it rude to ask for one’s name before introducing yourself?”
(Laughs)
I rather he/she just slam the phone down. It’s rude but the stupidity awkwardness stops there. <`A´>/
Ah well, some people are like this. I don’t know the reason to it (Do you?) but on our part, let’s make phone calls the appropriate way~![]()
Here’s how: \<^v^>/
- Dial the number of the person you need to talk to. Double check to see if you dialed correctly.
- After the recipient picks up your call, say “Hello, may I speak to (__Insert name here__), please?” For a more casual approach, ask, “(_Insert name here__), is that you?/free to talk now?”
- ※ Do not repeat his/her name like a broken record. By that, I mean: “Eh, Saru, Saru?” ← You will sound very retarded, especially if you got the wrong number.
- If the line is being passed to the person whom you want to talk to, y~ay! The operator/first recipient/your potential father in-law knows you’re not an uncivilized moron but someone with phone etiquette.
Not so difficult, isn’t it? <^-^>lll
Or did I miss anything out? If so, please fill them in.
In addition, let’s read about your weird and creepy experience with prank callers/anonymous callers/creeps!
Baa! <^∀^>/
Enough already. This entry is filled with text by Ms Aya the sheep. Baa~♪

Samsung Galaxy S II

Fortunately I havent received any prank calls (even so it’s from my close friends XD), only calls which advertised something so usually I would quickly say “I dont need this service” and end the call^^
I could understand how annoying it is so I dont really like to give my phone no to people unless I am close to them hehe
When i phone people, i usually goes “Hello [insert name] this is [my name] etc etc” so quite a polite way unless I phone my family then I wont need to say who I am, right?! lol
OHHHHH I LOVE THOSE ECHI KOREAN PICS! I got most of them somewhere else (so thanks for linking me to the rest!) and I just love renaming them hehe
Prank calls ? There is one time I got a call … is a survey … What a nice number they randomly got my number …
Ask me about sex thingy … what u know about sex ? what u know about HIV disease ? … do u protect yourselves against these diseases? … =.=”
I bullshit-ed all the way … dunno what the hell I’m talking about … I just … YES or NO or DUNNO or BLA BLA BLA SHIT …
Wrong number also have alot of times … When I sleeping in the early morning and suddenly my house phone rang … I woke and and walk like a zombie towards the phone nearest to me (I have upstairs and downstairs phone linked) …
Helo ?
%#$%^$%$%^E$ ? (talking Hindi maybe)
Helo ?
%#$%^$%$%^E$ ? (gets louder)
Helo ? Can you speak again ? (my brain is still under hibernation)
%#$%^$%$%^E$ ? (very angry sound)
Errrr … I think you call a wrong number … (starting to awoke)
(the person slam the phone, shocked me) and I went back to resume my hibernation …
Alot of missed call always hit my house … average 1 month once … all rude people who never said “Oh Sorry, for disturbing” after dialed the wrong number …
Konbanwa, Ane-san!
Sachi-chan has finally taken a break from doing tons of homework (cries) to say hi to Sheep and her readers! (^_^)v
I know exactly what Sheep means when she talks about annoying phone calls.
Since Sachi-chan and her family moved to this new island home, we’ve been faced with a seemingly small, yet extremely ANNOYING problem.
The thing is: There’s this really big, important bank here on the island. They probably get thousands of customers calling them daily. But the problem is, our house’s number is very close to that bank’s number. And according to my mom, some of their printed contact cards actually have a typo on them telling people to call OUR number! (.___.){oh no)
This means that every day we get multiple calls from people who are actually trying to call the bank!
It’s ultra annoying. Especially when I tell them this is not the bank and they keep insisting and asking what this number is and who this is!
I mean, do I sound like I’d be a lying bank worker person playing games on people?!
*sigh* doouu! (>,<)/
Dear kioko
You are so fortunate! (Laughs)
Ah! You like those pictures too? Haha. You’re right, you have to name the pictures yourself because there aren’t any default names on them. But it’s quite obvious to know what kind of names to give. Eg: Jellyfish, sheep, autumn, watching etc.
(Laughs)
I’m trying to look for more Dreams of Echi pictures. If you happen to know where to get them, please share with me the link? Thank you~

Dear Pix
The f***, got such phone survey? (o_o) Scary!
True! They never apologized. They either slam the phone or just say, “Oh!” —- and then slam the phone down.
Sometimes it’s obvious they got the wrong number and yet they still want to insist and carry on asking for the person.
———————————————————————————
Dear Sachi-chan
!! Laughs !!
Big eraikotcha for you!
Haha, no, Sachi-chan is not a lying banker. Otherwise, she would get fired immediately.
The bank better amend their business cards because this isn’t funny anymore.
PS: My house was mistaken to be a bank before!
My house was mistaken to be a photocopy store and store that sells batteries =.=
Not just only that, so many callers wanted to talk to a person with indian or malay’s name. Not chinese (for prank calls wise)
As for my phone, tons of SMSes (during high school) asking ” Hello, can we be friends?” or pretended to be sending message to a wrong sender (a.k.a me) and wished for me to reply back so that he(I suspect is he) can say “oh, sorry for the mistake, anyway how are you?what’s your name?”
BUMMER! =.=! I HATE! ARGH!
(OFF TOPIC)MSN more worst! Last time, I was so kind, I just clicked approve for all incoming invitation to be added as friends. Instead of saying ” Hello”, or ” Thanks for approving”, they just ask you “A/S/L?” (Age,Sex,Location)
WTF THEM! I just deleted them =( HMPH!!!!
Dino is so worked up today LOL……..I wonder why….
PS: The wallpaper, so kawaii desu!
oh this remind me of the only prank call that i remember making… i think it’s my only one… errr was it? anyway, My friend got scold pretty badly when he call to our classmate which happen to be a girl by her mom. He was just calling to check on something not like he have some special intention with this girl at all. It was not all that late as well. Around 10pm++. But he end up being scold by this girl’s mom. He told us about it and we thought wanna get a little bit of revenge for him and so we waited til rather late and call to her house again and so her mom pick up. And the conversation was as follow:
Me: Hello? Is ChunLi there?
mom: err.. no such person.
Me: What? What about Ken? is Ken there?
mom: no such person as well.
Me: Ryu? Honda? Dhalsim? Blanka…. hang up.
by the way it was many many many many years ago
haha but you remind me..i did receive quite a few calls back at home who’re looking for someone that’s not in my house XD It feels awkard to dial them especially when they keep insisting to speak to blah blah blah.
Ohh that webiste you got has all the ECHI pictures except this one ^___^
By the way my names are not that simple lol, i am trying to name them after song names or whatever-sound-beautiful~
Dear Dino-chan
Sou da! MSN mo! Don’t how they get your e-mail address/MSN contact then they add you and talk nonsense, especially sexual stuff! And they are always men! Gah!
You can also find these kind of men on Friendster. Probably that’s how they got your MSN contact..
Baa~
Dino-chan is worked up because she got trapped in the elevator for 15 minutes. (o_o)

Dear SpitxFire

HAHAHAHAHA!
Her mother must had been very confused with all these names.
Funny revenge. At least not the sickening and perverted type of prank call la.

Dear kioko
Aw~ I was hoping for more Dream of Echi pictures.
Anyway, thanks for the last one. Baa~ (^v^)/
Wow, you name after songs. How creative. Names from Japanese or English songs? (o_o)
Haha, I prefer short names.
You can say it’s an innovative prank call. lol!
Taiwanese songs ^___^
They always have such poetic names haha
Btw I will tell you if i find any more Dream of Echi pics then!
Hi!
It’s been a long time! How are you? How have you been? XP
Ahhhhh, those little creeps…
Well I had one experience.. when I was a little kid, I can still remember! *shudder*
I used to live with my family in an apartment and stuff. So! One day I get this phone call with this guy asking me in Malay what my name was, my age, WHETHER I WAS AT HOME ALONE, and WHAT FLOOR I WAS STAYING ON. Jesus.
I always wondered what those Echi pictures were called…
Thank you! XD
I thought it was one of the guards from downstairs just playing with me or somehow he needed that information?? Either way that was no excuse… Anyway, being a kid, I answered all of those truthfully except for the last question when I thought he was asking for… like (how do I put this…) Primary Level I was in! I live on the 11th Floor, but I answered the 4th Floor or something… Haiiisssshhhh.
My family and maid freaked out, and I don’t know what they did after that, but the guy kept calling back. I wonder if something happened to whoever it was living on the 4th Floor… I don’t mean that in a sarcastic way though (+_+”)
Dear Kiii
That’s scary! And you almost gave away your location!
I think when we have children around, we must keep them away from telephones because kids like to talk and play with phones. Plus, they don’t know the danger and too friendly till they give honest answers.
As for teenagers and adults, they should be able to know what kind of calls to decline. (^-^)lll
