I-I-I-got a new phone~☆!
Chang-chang-LA~a~! :*:・< ̄∀ ̄>・:*:
This is the phone that I made an advance booking 3 weeks ago. The retailer assured me that I will get it in 1 week but hell no, he told me to wait some more until yesterday — I canceled my order from him and left for another retailer. <`A´>/
Thank goodness, I finally got my hands on the LG KF350! (Laughs) <u_u> ↓

In the past few weeks, I was so anxious and restless. I kept my fingers cross hoping to receive good news from that retailer saying, “Your phone is here!”.
A~ah well, can’t blame me because this phone has a plain yet attractive design. In fact, it looks like a Japanese keitai style. I’m sure many youths (especially girls) will find this phone very catchy to the eyes.↓

(My previous phone: Nokia 7390)
As said, sheep is now very happy and gleeful! <^x^>/
This phone model is called The Ice-cream phone. I have no idea why it’s named after ice-cream. Perhaps it’s because there are 3 dewy creamy colors available; Blue, White and Pink. <.__.>{?]
Well, my color of choice is pink and let’s take a look at actual phone that now belongs to me. (Laughs) ↓

Judging by the appeal itself, it sure gives away the stylish and Japanese feel even though this phone isn’t as long and tall as Japanese made phones.

… But look on the bright side, it’s slim! <^v^>/
Surprisingly, it’s a bit heavier than it looks. Very solid despite that it consist of plastic material.
As for the interior design… ↓

It’s neat and I simply love the simplicity of this phone. The phone is horizontally broader than my Nokia 7390 however, not too obvious and still acceptable.. at least to me. <_ _>lll

↑ The user interface is 240 x 320. At first, I was disappointed with the small screen. There’s ample space to make the screen bigger and longer but as you can see, LG designed an unnecessary border around the screen which makes the screen look even smaller!
* There are only 2 themes: Black and white. (Cries) No variety, huh? <;__;>
If that does not suck enough, the black dot you see on your top right is NOT a camera. (Sorry, cam whores..)
*A~aw~* <;__;>
That is an Auto Luminance Control. Since my knowledge in explaining technical stuffs is rather limited and pathetic, the most I can do to help you understand this function is to extract the information from the LG KF350′s manual book itself:
Auto Luminance Control
“When you set the Auto brightness to On, the brightness of the LCD screen will be automatically set by an ALC (Auto Luminance Control) sensor built into your phone. Auto Luminance Control automatically adjusts screen brightness according to the ambient brightness. KF350′s smart luminance control provides clear screen under bright lights and is gentle on the eyes when dark, all while saving battery power. The function of Auto Brightness is set to ON by default.”
At first, I didn’t know about this function and while I was testing out the phone — The back light kept blinking from bright to dark. Afraid that it was spoiled, I panicked and when through the manual book again to discover that it was a special function.
Seriously, LG should have just build a camera in replace of the ALC because the constant change of light can be very distracting.
Now moving on to the key pad compartment… ↓

It’s very spacious. I’m not used to big key pads and the END CALL (Button that cancels everything as well as turns off the phone) is too close to the number 3 button.
While typing a message to Mira, I kept hitting the END CALL button which resulted my message to be save under Draft. And this jinx happen like — 5 – 8 times in one message? <o_o>
Don’t feel discourage. My fingers are at fault for being spastic, not the phone. <^-^>lll
Baa… Up next… ↓

You can check the time without opening the phone. All you have to do is click the side button (which is the volume button) and the time will re-appear. The time will not be displayed at all times by the way. I think it’s better that way. It will help you reserve battery.
Another great feature about the LED is — You can select an emoticon as your screen saver!
Firstly, click OK → Settings. ↓

Then go to External LED → Wallpaper. ↓

You can choose to display the time only or … ↓

Go for the kawaii emoticons! \<^v^>/ This is how it will turn out. ↓

* Some emoticons are animated! Like the one above!

If you like, you can also customize your own! But you can only store 3 customized emoticons/text. (Cries)
About the MP3 player … ↓

That’s how it will turn out to be. There will be light omitting according to the beat and tempo of the music.
Ok… Enough about how awesome the design and the LED function. Let’s move on to the main question that we all ask before purchasing a phone. And that is — Are the photos taken by LGKF350 sharp and reliable?
Well honestly, I’m quite upset that it ruins up-close shots because it does not have an auto-focus and macro feature. However, I’m quite contented with its quality results.
Below here are some sample photos taken using the LG KF350. ↓

My beloved dog, Auwlithe~♥ ↑ <≥ω≤>/

With these pictures, I let you decide whether the quality is satisfying enough for you.
The camera is equipped with basic functions such as the following:
- Color effect
- White Balance
- Night Mode
- Timer
- Tools for editing (Rotate, resize, insert text and element, clipping, image defect [mosaic blur, distort...], special effect [black & white, sepia, color negative, black & white negative, enhance RGB, contrast, sharpen, emboss, sketch..etc])
- Frame effect
- Mirror
- … and more!
The capture speed is fast unlike Nokia 7390 that takes about 3 seconds. Therefore, your photos will be snap in an instant.
Now how about the reliability of LG 350′s video recordings? <.__.>{?]
To clarify the quality, I specially made this short video! ↓
Uh… (Laughs nervously)
Silly video… Well.. This is all I can say about this phone for now. I’m happy with it and still exploring its features. The 1 thing that I’m quite paranoid about this phone is that the latch for the USB/Head phone/charger and Micro SD is loose.. <OAO> ↓

It’s very VERY loose. >_<
I don’t mean that it comes off easily — It’s just that when I lift it up to plug in the USB/Charger, it dangles. <TAT>
So you gotta be careful. Don’t be rough when opening it and plugging it, ok?
Oh! Before I end this. One last tip:
* If you can’t seem to insert the Micro SD card and it keeps ejecting — Remove the back cover, battery and SIM card then insert the Micro SD by the side. That ought to be the trick!
Baa~ Make that as the second last tip because I still have one more. <^-^>lll Please please bear with my long-windedness.
For those who love BLINGING their accessories — LG KF350 is probably a very ideal phone for decorations!
Here’s a web site that sells many lovely and sparkling accessories for phones. Here’s an example of how your phone might turn out to be soon! ↓

Personally, I’ve not bought anything from Strapya-World yet. I’m planning to but haven’t decide what I want. There are too many goodies there! <*^v^>/
With that said, do check this online shop~♥! \<´v`>
Hai! \<^ε^>/ This is the end~! Thank you for your patience with sheep~!
I admire your endurance~! (Laughs)
Ms.Aya, taking her leave now~! <∏A∏> (Cries)
[ . . . ]
PS: I can’t say anything regarding the life span of the phone battery because I’ve only used it in 2 days. Perhaps after 5 days or a week later, I’ll make a second report. Hopefully, this phone won’t fail me by then. (Laughs)
P.PS: Oh! Yeah! How can sheep forget?! <^-^>lll When you purchase the LG KF350 — you get a ice-cream phone strap! ↓

Before this, I heard that customers who buys this phone are entitle to Baskin & Robin’s ice-cream voucher. Strange.. I didn’t get it. <.___.>{?] 1GB MicroSD memory card was also not included..
A~ah well.. I was too distracted with the cute and adorable sales attendant. (Laughs) <´•ω•`>lll
With that said — Cheers to ice-cream phone!
READ THE SECOND REPORT ON LG KF350!

Samsung Galaxy S II

Wow! Seems pretty cool! I love how the back thingy light up and can display custom messages and emoticons \(^.^)/! The pictures are pretty sharp too. -_- Sorry I don’t know much about phones. I have two, but I don’t really use any, I just use my house’s phone most of the time. (Plus, Sachi-chan has few friends to call her -_-…)
I love the cute video with the little sheep {Baaaa)! It seems ane-san has helped to cheer Sachi-chan up! *was in really bad mood – read why at my blog*
Arigatou gozaimasu!*.*
I’m not into cell phones but I’m glad you got one you like.
Dear Sachi-chan
The phone is very cute. (^-^)v Does your place have it?
Well.. I too don’t have many phone numbers. I did some spring cleaning in my phone book and discovered that 9/10 were people whom I’ll never call out for help. (- -)
I read your blog. Seems like Namine is there to support you~
By the way, did you receive my email regarding the HTML q. of yours?
Dear Nappy
Thanks a lot, Nappy~!
I hope you get something that you like in Christmas too~
sugoi-ne !!! i really love the pink XD suits the sheep and love the colors with the tempo. and the pictue quality seems to be really clear. And it does resemble japanese phones XD which is cool since the shape is long eheheh
I’m not sure why people everywhere seem to long for those damn huge japanese mobiles. Personally I carried one for 5 months and I can say it was the biggest and dumbest thing I’ve carried in my pockets. I’m more into those slim, simple designed ones (and that makes your new mobile really cool Sheepy).
You can find slim, smart phones in Japan too, the reason I carried that brick inside my pockets for 5 months was coz it was borrowed, so I couldn’t really complain about it(now, I finally got to do it ha ha ha).
The Ice cream mobile seems pretty cool, girly, and has nice functions. Besides, you got attended by that cute guy @ the retailer right??, not bad, seems like a nice purchase. I’m waiting to see how you pimp it up^^.
By the way!!, you pronounce japanese like a real angel!!. Perfect and sweet pronunciation, two big thumbs up!^^.
The clay sheep is cute too, the way it goes “baaa, baaa” is adorable.
Dear Mira
Yup yup yup. But the bad thing is — As you said — You can’t hear me clearly on your receiving end. (Tears)
Your bro said the same. Then I tested it on my mother and she said she could hear me just fine. What’s going on? (Cries)
So are you getting a new phone too?
Dear Rocketd
Quote: I’m not sure why people everywhere seem to long for those damn huge japanese mobiles. Personally I carried one for 5 months and I can say it was the biggest and dumbest thing I’ve carried in my pockets…. carried that brick inside my pockets for 5 months….
Shh…! We don’t want to puncture other people’s blood vessels over this, do we. (Laughs)
Are they that big?
Because I see that they are quite slim. Unless the model that you unfortunately used was a — brick model. (Laughs)
Yea.. This phone is very girly. I still don’t have a faint idea on how to decorate it. I’m afraid that the 3D stickers might chip off. (Tears)
Oh, you’re using Motorola, right? What kind of phones do they have in Mexico? I’m curious.
”はい。。。いい子だ~”
I molded that sheep using clay. (Laughs)
Nope, I’d actually never heard of or seen this phone (ice cream phone) before. But there are other kinds of LG phones in the US and where I live.
Thanks for reading (as usual) ^.^! Yes, I’m glad Namine is there to support. I’m still waiting for her post though -.-…
Yea, I got your email. Thanks a lot! I’ll have to try to make use of the code soon. It shouldn’t be too hard since Sheep is so good at explaining. n_n
Tralalalallaaaaa…
Aya,
Not bad the phone .. Picture quality and resolution is high …
Well… it looks nice from the outside but I don’t like the camera’s resolution.
Still, your sheep is amazing ! A Masterpice craft ! Auwlithe is cool ! And your pictures are incredibly dreamy~~ !
Love your shots and entry ! Much more than the previous ones ! (Laugh)
Thanks a lot !
!! CRIES !!
My phone… hung!!!
Jammed! (TTATT)
!! Cries !!
NOOO!!! *Cries with ane-san* T.T
hihi, i was researching abt the ice cream phone you have and happen to read about your report on the phone, where did you get it from? my friend has one but she say hers does not comes with the ice cream strap. ^^
I bought mine at JB, Jusco Tebrau Aeon City. Top Floor, Celcom.
If you’re buying, you can ask them for the ice-cream strap. At first, I didn’t know I’d get one but the dealer just gave it to me.
Better ask or they might forget.
oh..thanks. how much did you get it for? :]
RM799 for the phone – No memory card, no Baskins & Robin ice-cream voucher.
I am also using LGKF350 too !! Yayayayayaya too bad that hp only got two themes D: hai ! you tag my tagbox once , remenber ? ^^
Yes, I do remember you. I was googling for stickers and somehow landed on your cute blog.
I left another tag in your blog. (Smiles)
Regarding the themes… Perhaps sooner a later we can download new themes from ownskin.com.
Because the phone is still new.
Looks gorgeous!!
Hey,
where did you buy this phone?
Because I’ve seen some with the japanese strokes on the keypad, to write jap or chinese.
And I want to be able to write chinese lol

http://p9.p.pixnet.net/albums/userpics/9/6/563396/490c829c22adb.jpg
Dear Charlene
I bought mine in Malaysia.
Well… You can write in Chinese, English, Vietnamese, Thai and even in Korean.
As for Japanese, the version I have doesn’t have it. (Cries)
Wish I had the phone with Japanese keypads. (Cries even more)
Just wanted to say thanks for your review for the LG KF350. It actually persuaded me into buying one yesterday. =]
Well i did read alot of reviews before yours and watched alot videos too. Your review was basically the cherry on top that made me get one.
So yea, thanks
Dear Mr.Ken
You’re welcome. I’m so happy that my review is of help to others.
Let’s hope that your ice-cream phone is in perfect condition and has no defects. Because some users (including myself) has experienced hanging problems with this phone. (Tears)
So anyway.. Cheers to you and your new phone~! \(^v^)/
gosh! im so in love with the phone! so damn cute! how much aa? does the mp3 sound ok?
Retail price is RM799.
As for the MP3, it’s quite ok. Depending on what kind of songs you listen to. If it’s heavy metal then it won’t be the sound won’t be that good.
You can always try out the phone in the handphone shop before you purchase~ (Smiles)
hey i love the way you love your phone haha.. i’ve got a question though.. do the LED’s show who’s calling when the phone is closed? or do you have to open up the phone in order to know who’s calling?
thank you for responding!
and if u wanna se some mexican cellphones check out this URL =)
http://www.telcel.com/portal/telcel.portal;jsessionid=JRHXpmQf3GGvJW2pqwJhf2FRWSkh8vzdmvLrKqy4zQLrynrJXJxS!1880188047?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=Equipos_BusquedaPage&seccion=2
Oh, that.
The LED will only display the phone number of the caller, not the ID name. Suppose you don’t recognize the number, then you’ll have to open the phone to find out whether it’s in your phone book and then you can press the ‘Receive Call’ button to accept the call.
Thanks for the link~
I’m loading the page as I’m replying to you now~
Wow, thanx for reviewing this kawaii phone(^.^). btw, have u ever tried to install any chat application like ebuddy mobile?
hihi! i found your site while searching online for kf350. your review is really very complete, thank you! (: i see that you really blog with your readers in mind, can see that you love them very much ^^
ohoh i have one question. for the video that you made, was it on normal or night mode?
hope its been a good phone to you so far! ((: have a nice day ms. aya!
Dear Sunako-chi
You’re welcome. (^-^)/
I’m sorry, I never tried installing any chat application before. To begin with, i didn’t know it was possible. (Laughs nervously)
Dear Krayle
Well… I like interacting with my readers because they’re fun and interesting people. (Laughs)
Oh, it was recorded using normal mode though it was night time and under the fluorescent light.. (^.^)llll
It has been kind to me. Thanks a lot for your concern. If you’re getting this phone, I hope it won’t give you any heart aches. (^v^)/ Cheers!
im using the white one(:
think its alright, just that there is no other themes except the white and the blacl :l how discouraging..
and also, i hate the fact that e sms ringtone last only a few secs. zzzzz
its a lil lag, but not some jialat.
anyway, its stil a ok phone.
got V attracted by the pretty design(:
Dear Hui Nin
(Nods) The phone is so nice. It should have a lot of cute themes! How disappointing right?
(Tears) I agree. The ringtone is too short. Still like you said, the design is so attractive. To the point of that, I think the flaws can be overlooked easily. (Laughs nervously)
are you a chinese or japanese? LOL. damn la, i love ice cream x) but my dad force me to get a damn 3G phone ):
Dear JinMay
I’m a Chinese.
Your dad is forcing you to get a 3G phone? Wow.. He must be tech-savvy to know the qualities of a 3G phones until he can force you to get one.
Ice-cream has no 3G but it’s too irresistible to say no!
Good luck in changing his mind. (Cheers)

ptldesigns10157@gmail.com
Dear crystal,
I am very very interested in ur ice cream phone..is it sold out alr?
but i m on a tight budget n m hoping if u could somehow reduce d price..pls let me know if u could n how much is d lowest u could go..thanks a lot.
I love my phone, I got the light blue it’s unlocked and I got it pretty cheap I must sat. and about the strapya website they are the best, I’ve been buying from them for a few years now, you’ll always end up getting your stuff in a timely manner…well for me being in the USA I get them fast enough and they have tons of stuff to add a little something to your phone that no one has.
Dear Zoie
Yea, Strapya’s delivery is really fast. I live in Malaysia and right after they confirm with me their order, they arrived in 3 days time. I expected 1 week. (Laughs)
Glad to know you’re happy with your ice-cream phone~ (^-^)v
Cool ! but how do you customize the LED light though ?
Dear Anh
Just go to Settings – External LED – Wallpaper.
From there, you’ll know how to customize it. (^-^)/
Hey, nice review
i just got my icecream phone just today because the lg viewty white was sold out @_@, so i got convinced by the workers there to get this phone! its really cute! i really like the external Led
Thanks, Joyce!
Enjoy your ice-cream phone and take good care of it!
Hiyaa~
I’m thinking to get LG ice-cream as well but not sure about whether it worths the money – 10 being the highest score, how will u rate this phone overall? (i read your 2nd post and u said it hanged…)
I’m planning to get the blue one hehe
And thank you so much for your reviews!
Dear Kioko
Baa~
If you can live with a phone with 2 plain themes, very basic features and battery lifespan up to 3 – 4 days at minimum usage — then I’d say 8/10.
If vice versa, then you better not because you might get bored of this phone really fast.
Personally, I’m alright with the basic functions and the lack of 3G features. The point I enjoy most in using this phone is the ability to decorate it with blings and flowers. In my latest entry, I re-embellished it~ (Laughs)
The hanging issue has been resolved and no problems and malfunctions has ever occurred since then.
So if you’re getting this phone, I hope you aren’t in the hapless equation.
You’re welcome~ (^v^)/
Ohhh thanks so much^-^
I cant emphasize again how appreciated i feel for sharing your reviews with random people (like me hehe)
Well I think I can live with the simple themes coz fancy is not really my thing (perhaps i can find some nice websites which can customise the themes)
Besides the colour does look nice and thanks to your closeup photos, I think I like the buttons too <3
I’m also thinking whether I should wait for the new LG lOLLIPOP instead…
You’re welcome, Kioko.
For precaution sake, you should find out where is your nearest LG/Zitron center just in case the phone give you problems, then you can get them to fix it under warranty.
I saw the lollipop phone too~ It’s cute and the features are good. If you have stronger feelings for Lollipop then wait for it~ (*^v^*)/
^___^ (by the way call me kioko, capital letters tend to scare me hehe)
Ok thanks~
I’ll be sure to take notice of it since it’s not my first time to hear about the various problems this phone caused.
(Lollipop is more expensive too *cries*)
I’m quite a indecisive person but i grew to love ice-cream after reading several other reviews haha.
Oh by the way can you transfer mp3s from your computer into the phone and then set those mp3 songs as ringtones/ sms alert?
Ok, kioko…
Yes, you may transfer mp3s from your computer to your phone and use them as your ring tones.
As for sms alerts, well — the alert goes on for only as long as 5 seconds.. (Tears)
kioko just looks more casual and informal hehe, since (as u can *obviously* tell) it’s not my real name anyway xD
*cries* 5 SECONDS ONLY?!
My fav sms is 13s long….anyway thanks ^-^
Aya-sa~nnn,
Hi! Well…it’s already May…(^_^’)
and I was wondering….can you run with this phone? Like shake it or vibrate it?….like be active with it?….coz my current LG model was never quite the same after I brought it along with me during my school’s cross country last year….(>_<)
Dear kioko
You’re most welcome.
Dear Kiii-san
Well, precisely what kind of problem are you getting with the phone after your cross country incident? (.__.)
I’ve never ran with this phone nor do any hardcore activities while having it in hand (unless you consider traveling outstation) so I can’t say anything. (Laughs nervously)
Hello!
I´m from brazil and I LoVe that phone!Unfortunately it doesn’t exist here. *-*’
Can you give me one??I´m kidding(laughs).
Where are you from??
Your website is amazing.Congratulations.
Kiss!

Dear Vanessa
Hi~!
I’m from Malaysia and it’s sad to know that Brazil does not have this phone. (Cries)
Maybe one day Brazil will create better and more stylish phones!
It’s amazing? Why, thank you~ *Kisses back*
I think I’m drunk now.. ( *^v^*) Baa…
Ne ne Aya-san,
(>_<) I didn’t realize that you’d already replied…XP
Well anyways uh!… It’s reaction just became slow but never mind that coz! I just got the Vanilla Ice-Cream for myself 3 days ago!! o(^-^)o
Thank You!
Well I read it’s manual and….
it says
… “no mechanical vibration”. (o.O)
Zen zen wakaranai!
Though I am now imagining those automatic drink shakers at those nice cafes…

Congratulations!
How much did yours cost? Got any freebies?
Eh? Uchi mo zenzen wakarimahen. (o_o)
Dear Jaclyn Brenda
Wow.. I didn’t think my review would drive anyone to buy this phone.
I just hope you read my second review about the hanging problems. I don’t want to be responsible for your purchase. (Laughs)
Just remember to keep the receipt and warranty card in case any problems occurs, ok?
Thanks for the compliment. If you like, you can also decorate your ice-cream phone~ (^-^*)
hahaha..because i knew about the ice cream phone by reading your blog..& it was just the perfect phone i was looking for..simple & stylish..
oh,i will..thanks..i had problems with the batt 2 weeks after i bought the phone..but the shop owner gave me a new one..^^..but that’s all..
ok,thanks for the advice..^^
i would like to decorate my phone..thanks ms.Aya!!
Baa~ Thanks a lot for reading.
I hope nothing goes wrong with your ice-cream phone~ It would really be painful if it did. (Tears)
friend , i wanna ask about LG ice cream .
u got the memmory card ?
if yes , how big the capacity of the memmory card ?
and , there’s 2 cameras ?
inside and outside ?
repp please , thx .
Dear AngelJunsu
I bought my 2gb memory card separately. The maximum gb this phone can accommodate is 4gb but apparently that’s not advisable as some has said it will cause your phone to lag or restart.
The unlocked version has only 1 camera (3Megapixels) outside. The one inside is a built-in auto brightness control.
Is there anything else I can help you with? (.__.){Baa]
hey! may i ask you smething ??
does this phone has wireless lan??
Sorry, it doesn’t have a wireless lan.
I saw this phone with my coz and just loved it… was sad though that we don’t have the lolipop LG in the UAE,, but the ice cream is gr8… I want to buy one as a gift to my self.. how is it with you so far… is the calling still as bad as you said in ur second review? and did you try decorating your mobile.. if so,, can you send me the photo.. cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeers… and big thumbs to your gr8 review…
Dear Nadia
I decorated my phone twice, you can refer to these links to see the pictures:
http://paperdiaries.com/2009/01/ice-cream-phone-deco/
http://paperdiaries.com/2009/05/ice-cream-phone-redecora-da/
The phone is doing fine with me right now. No problems after I sent it for repair.
LG Lollipop phone is tempting. So far, never heard of it being sold here — just in Korea. How deprive we are.. (Tears)
I got the phone today.. I’m so happy with it.. my friend did say that my sound had some echo in it.. but who cares.. I just love the phone.. decorated it immediatly with a princess strap (it has pearls, crystal and a shiny foshy boots with pink fur).. I’ll buy some stones to decorate it tomorrow… Love it love it love….
4got to say that I didn’t get any freebies with it (tears and more tears)
No ice cream strap and no memory card… (tears)
Hello! i was wondering if u know any websites that u can download free phone themes for the lg kf350 ice cream???….>,<
hiyaa Sheep~~
I have another question I suddenly thought of – the phone can vibrate, right ?(if i make it silent)
Dear Elley
So far there aren’t any customizable themes for this phone, just the standard themes that are already provided in the phone.
Dear kioko
Yes, it can vibrate in silent mode.
Thanks Sheep^-^
Coz I have finally persuaded my mum to get me that phone hehe (but it gonna be on the 20 August when my exam results come out *cries*)~
Hi,
Do u have dictionary for this phone?
teehee…
thanks =)
Dear Snoopy
Dictionary as in?
If you are referring to using the dictionary to type, then yes, there is such a feature. As for a dictionary with the purpose of checking the meaning of words, sadly, there isn’t. (Tears)
Hey… my name is rebecca.. i saw ur blog while finding information about the ice cream phone… so.. i wanna ask how much did u get this phone?? pls reply me at… rebeccahudgens.blogspot.com
hi (。・ω・。)v
just want to ask, does this phone hang often? or just once or twice?
thanks.
Dear Miu-tama
I can’t give a precise number. But all I know is after I sent it back to the shop (LG center) for repair, the hanging stops.
However, the phone might hang for awhile or restart if you are browsing through large sized files too quickly.
hey.. just read your reviews. great job! anyway, just wondering, how do you type your messages in korean? i mean really sms in korean language is it? and is the speaker good?
thanks!
Dear Kah Ling
I never tried typing in Korean language before, sorry. But you definitely can type messages in Korean and change the language system to be in Korean too.
Speaker as in playing music? It’s not very loud but audible enough. Same goes when it rings and incoming messages.
Hii~ ^^ Nice review of the phone.
And cute sheep!
I want one for christmas. But I`m not sure if I should get one. Is it a good phone? ^__^;;
Dear Ohemgee
Talk about the functions, it’s an average phone. (^-^)lll
Oh, Okay. ^^ Thanks.
Hi, i have a question, can you pass videos from the computer to the phone?
thanks.
Yes, Liz. You can transfer videos/files to the computer. Just make sure you get the cable for that. (included upon purchase of the phone)
This phone looks lovely. *A* Too bad we don’t have it here :/
Auugh!! I just love your phone! (^3^)~♥
I want one so bad (‘U’) but I know the price is RM799 [?], but i’m a bit stupid, so i’m not sure what it means… *facepalm!* But yeah, anyway, can you say what it is in dollars..? (.___.”) [and my english isn't that good either! D:]
It’s about US$240+, I think. (^v^)/
Heey so do you know if I should buy this phone or the LG Lollipop ?
Dear Lisa
I wouldn’t know. It’s your preference. In my opinion, I think Lollipop would be nice since it’s new and has 2 themes. (^-^)v
I’m planning to buy this phone for my birthday..ehehe..I’m from Philippines and is it true that the korean version has better features than the int’l ver.?thx
Is it worth it?
Dear CharlieMagne
The Korean version has the upper hand than the unlocked version because it has a video call function whereas the unlocked version does not.
Regarding the worth, the phone has pretty much basic functions so if you can live with that, you deem the worth. (Laughs) The LED and front lighting is lovely and nice though.
Hey Aya!
Loved the review. I am from India and planning to the this phone soon.
Dear Priyanka
You’re welcome. (^-^*) Hope you’ll like the phone very much~
yay!
hello ms.aya..
ano ne..umm..
can led color change?
Dear Gie-chan
The LED light color can’t be changed. The LED color is orange for all the Ice-cream phones. (_ _)lll
id like to say THANK YOOU soo much for this review^^
i really really super wanted the lollipop phone but it was TOO expensive. and so i looked for this one. i needed a good review and found urs(:
im not a really big fan of the phone but its the closest cutest thing next to the lollipop. ive heard soo many bad reviews. i dont like the one color-orange led. and how the name wont show up in the screen. same boring design. basic features. but i really need a new phone. i want something with the LED screen, pink, kawaii, which is the lollipop;( im afraid if i buy this phone, i wont like it, and it will lag and wont work. do u suggest a different phone?
do u think if i order online, they will give me the ice cream charm(if i ask?)?
by the way. im either getting lg ice cream 1 or 2. and the lollipop i might be getting only if it drops down in price in a few months. do u kno anything about the ice cream 2? ive tried to look for reviews but barely found any.
wats the difference between ice cream 1 and 2?
features?
does it have a 2nd camera?
(i like the LED screen on it)
features?
would u recommend IC1 or IC2?
Dear Aigo
I can only tell you about Ice-cream 1, sorry.
I can’t help you compare it with the other LG phones because I never bought them nor found any reviews about them. (Kind of angry that no Lollipop owners bother to review it, and constantly stumbling on specs instead)
Just note that Ice-cream 1 is a very basic phone and the LED lights are quite limited compared to the other 2 phones. You can’t do much with the LED lights.
Perhaps waiting for the price for the Lollipop to drop is worth it? I really can’t say.
Oh, about the charm — Not sure if you can still get that. Ice-cream has been out for a year already so not sure if the freebie is still included.
Much apologies for not having the answers to your questions. (_ _)lll
Hello
I got ice cream phone 2
and trying to figure how to set the option as T6 when I text
it automatically goes to Abc so i have to set it to T6 every time i use it
do you know how to do that?
Dear Danbee
I never used Ice-cream 2 before…Sorry.
But I think it’s like that because for Ice-cream 1, every time you switch off your phone and on again, the T9 will automatically activate.
i was looking for reviews for LG ice cream and your blog was the first one on the entries. OMG i just think the way you blogged this is really cute, i really want an ice cream phone on my birthday, is it really that nice to use and is it user friendly?
Dear Pink Pumpkin
Let’s see…
It’s quite user-friendly as there are shortcut keys which you can get easily adjust yourself to. The buttons are big and spacious…Space bar is the same as Nokia, being the 0 button..And to navigate, there’s the obvious up, down, left, right buttons on the keypad.
If you don’t like to keep pressing the same buttons, there are quick numbers which means, to get to one option, you press the number and it goes straight away.
So don’t worry…functions are very basic..No complexity!
Hi, I’m planning of buying it but, I have a doubt.
Do you know if I it can be configured in french language ? Since I’m a french user… And I don’t want the menu and all the settings to be in english, or in other language…
And it seems that yours hanged… What’s for now? Can you recommend it to me ?
Don’t think so. There’s only English, Korean, Thai and other languages but no French.
Hanging isn’t an issue for now…Seems like the early batch of users had faulty phones. But now it’s quite unheard of.
If the language is really important to you, then better don’t purchase it I guess..Unless your shop sells it with French language in it.
hiyaaaa! your thread was so helpful, and made me want to get that phone even more and more!!!! GAAAAAAAAAA~! i wasn’t sure before if i would rather buy it or not. but it’s such a cutie cell awwwwww! i took my decision now!

but there’s still an issue… i know some site where i could purchase it (such as plemix.com, mobicity.com etc…) but they don’t even precise the whole package content (i mean, it seems that there isn’t the cutie ice cream key… and erm… yeah, for such a cutie blingbling lover like me, it’s such a big deal kekekeke~), and i’m not sure if they’re really trustworthy. uguuuu
so, let me ask you: don’t you know where i could purchase it with its whole package content and with a sure seller???
please, please
Dear Queena
I don’t know of any online vendor and definitely can’t tell you if they are trust worthy. I think it’s best you buy the phone from an offline shop just in case if there’s any problem, you can go back there to have it fix or replace. (^-^)
The ice-cream charm is like an early bird freebie. Doubt they still give those out. As for the bling bling, it’s not included in the package. I bought my decora separately from strapya-world.com
Hi, thanks for all your ice cream phone reviews! They’re really helpful and cute. Plus I love the way you explain things
Oh, and I love the way you decora-ed your phone, made it 10x cuter than it already is lol x3
I want to buy this phone, and I’ve seen it around Pacific Mall (Toronto, Canada) and my friend has one too (its blue ^^) they’re so irresistibly cute~! :3
She complained about it lagging and freezing from time to time, and you’ve mentioned that it’s hanged once on you too. She also mentioned that it doesn’t have caller id unless you flip the phone open, which results with it automatically answering the call. As well as a few dropped calls. I was wondering if you also had that problem :O
Also (sorry for all the questions Dx) did you have to unlock your phone? When I was checking them out at pmall, they said I had to unlock, activate, buy a sim card and a micro sd card. The phone itself is $150 and unlocking and activating would cost me $75, plus the sim and micro sd card, which would be $25. They never offered a one year contract in case it broke. There also never mentioned any phone plans, and I’ve been told certain companies and plans weren’t compatible (I’m not completely sure how that works).
So I’m not sure if I should take a chance since it’ll kill my wallet in an instant ;w;
Sorry for all the questions, I’m just worried if it will be worth it :3
Thanks for the review, and in advance if you answer ^^
Dear Sunny
Mine is the unlocked version whereby I don’t need hyper sim card to use it.
Regarding the caller id, you can set it to display incoming phone numbers (not like we’ll know whose number) and when you want to open to check, you can change the answer mode to accept a call by pressing a button. That way when you flip it open, it does not answer the call immediately and gives you time to check the caller’s name.
Mmm..if your friend is experiencing such a problem, she can take it back to the shop to get it fixed. If it can’t be done, I suggest you don’t get the phone. It can be very heart breaking. My phone was rather lucky not to lag and stuff after repairing it.
Anyway, your choice. Be wise~ XD
Thank you so much for replying
too bad i didnt get my ice cream phone charm. TT.TT
oh, your review is nice.
I am so convinced to buy it asap. kkk~
But I want to ask, is it possible for me to change the input language into Korean though I didn’t buy it in Korea? Thanks!
Omg I love This Phone I Had It And I Droped It And The Screen Cracked

I WANT MORE AND MORE BABY UH UH UH UH UH THATS RITE X
:):):):):s
Dear Bea
Sorry Bea! I didn’t see your comment!
Yes, there is still Korean language for the phone even if you have purchased the unlocked version!
No worries there! Do ask the shop keeper to be sure though.

Dear Rosi
Oh man….sucks to spoil a phone that you love so much!
It’s still very eye catchy. (Laughs) Find myself taking it out from the box to admire it all over again.
Hopefully you can get the phone for a good price!
how much did you pay for this phone?
Dear JM
RM750, when it was first released.
I love the phone~external looks not the features as I would get bored easily:@~
the phone is really adorable and girlie but knowing myself as I do, I could not do without the features at all(@.@)
I got a sony cedar which is 3g, was only affordable considering its features that are better than iphone/androi(O.O) true! I used to have one and no longer do as I wanted a sony really bad(^-^)so… I don’t mind it being a small candy bar phone as it brings back memories(my old phones^^) and I can also do stickers on my phone!^^
happy\(^-^)/
Dear PowePuff
External appearance, ice-cream phone is sure pretty~
However, it’s really not worth it to buy now. Furthermore, lollipop has already been released long time ago so it makes ice-cream look lesser than it initially was.
Ice-cream has a nice external but you will get bored of the very basic functions quickly.
Dear Gel
I read your comment in my inbox but strangely can’t approve it here.
Anyway, try to toggle the settings to default until it appears clearer. Do know that after a couple of years or so, camera lens do get blurry and unfocused.
My Nokia 7390 was once upon a time sharp and crispy but after 2 years, the quality worsened.
How old is your ice-cream phone by the way?
