Mood - Beautiful

5th November 2K8, Wednesday – Evening.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Good evening, minna-hun~ <´•ω•`>/~♫

I’m Ms.Aya, the sheep who will be irritating you once again. (Laughs) <*´▽`*>/

Baa~ <⌒▽⌒> So kindly bear with this jobless sheep.

Last week, I bought a book and unlike any books — it wasn’t the usual type of books that I would buy. <^x^>

* My usual(s) are: Business & marketing books, language and magazines.

So what exactly did I purchase? <.___.>

[ . . . ]

Ok ok.. I won’t keep everyone guessing in the dark. I bought … ↓

The Ugly Duckling

The Ugly Duckling

Now don’t start to get ideas like I’m having a child in my womb or my mentality has dropped to a 4th level grader.

No. <T_T> That’s not it.

I bought this book because for one; the illustrations are just too adorable to resist. ↓

The Ugly CUTEST Duckling

The Ugly CUTEST Duckling

For another — I was thinking of the future generation.

You see… I can’t help but to feel that certain old traditions are wearing out as we speak and that they are being substitute by new concepts and ideas in which I personally think they are no match for our timeless classics. Nowadays, I hardly come across any cartoons that are meaningful enough to invoke emotions and self consciences let alone morals.

And the very one thing I notice is that everyone is becoming exhorbitantly vain.

With our most reliable and advance technology, almost everyone have the ability to enhance their photos in order to beautify themselves.

Not long ago, only the professionals were given the ability to modify photos of top notch super stars like Madonna, Nicole Kidman, Kylie Minogue — you name them.

However, today — Just about anyone is given the privilege to edit their photos as dodgy as the professionals.

Don’t get my tone of voice wrongly. I do not condemn photoshopping. In fact.. I think it’s alright to use adobe photoshop for some minor editing. Plus, it can be pass off as an art.

Admittedly, I too sometimes feel the temptation to edit my photos. I always tell myself, “How nice if I can make that deep line vanish with just a click of a button“.

Then again, I always end up editing the lighting or simply delete the photos and decide not to post them up after all.

Anyway — What concerns me most is the idea of plastic surgery.

It’s becoming too widely known as a quick solution to ultimate beauty.

Initially, I never give much thought about it. I always kept my opinions to a minimal point in this topic because I used to think that only Hollywood stars can go for plastic surgery.

But now.. After reading several blogs — I learned that…

Any John & Jane Doe can go for plastic surgery!

<°Д°>/ {E.rai.kot.cha!]

I don’t have to emphasize what plastic surgery is all about since it’s now widely known. However in a nutshell — Plastic surgery reforms and supports your appearance using sillicon and … plastic. <x_x>

The last time I met Saru-chan, we had a serious discussion about plastic surgery. I’m very happy and impress with his wise words and knowledge.

Plastic surgery came into existence for the purpose of reforming and repairing the deformed people.

For instance, if you are born deformed and distorted, plastic surgery is there to correct and omit your form so that you don’t have to suffer. Also, to substitute body parts that are not proper. Eg: Arms, legs, eyes, cheeks…

However, we now take advantage of this benefit to satisfy our appearance to the maximum.

I really can’t think of anything else when I see or heard about someone who under-went plastic surgery.

The first image that always occur to me is: Was he/she born in an abnormal way?

Even if that is the case, eventually I would let the thought of ugliness slip by me because outer beauty isn’t my quest.

But when I see people who were borned normal yet undergo plastic surgery… Somehow despite their fascinating beauty… By knowing that he/she is THAT vain to resort to such desparation for more adoration.. I feel so disgusted in return.

Besides… Do you feel good living like that?

Anyway, I’m not bothered about plastic or narcissistic people.

I’m seriously concern about what holds for my future generation.

I’m just imagining.. If I have children.. and when the world is becoming overly competitive in the aspect of beauty and sex appeal…

How am I going to teach my children the right way?

How am I going to convince them that looking beautiful is different from being beautiful?

I wouldn’t want my daugther to be a plastic Barbie and I don’t want my son to be like Issei Sagawa, a Japanese man who murdered and ate a Caucasian woman just because he wanted to be beautiful.

Although I am in no position to say such things which I have yet to do. I too am a victim to vainity.

Then again… I want to strongy abide myself to my morals and principals.

That, my friends.. Is the true beauty within me. <^-^>/ (Laughs shamelessly)

Baa~ <n_n>lll

Having that said — I bought ‘The Ugly Duckling’ story book so that in any case — some shitty bedtime story overwrites it (Just like Shrek producing diarrhea over Snow White, Rapunzel, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella) … I still have it and perhaps… I can read this story to any child out there who is suffering of low self-esteem..

And hopefully — It can be an inspiring story to them. <*^-^*>/

I mean — Don’t you think this duck is overloaded with cuteness? <.___.>{?] ↓

This picture looks so sad and pitiful

This picture looks so sad and pitiful

Alright.. (Stretches) Sheep better takes its leave now.

It would be nice if I can get more opinions on this. So I humbly say — May I learn a lot from you! \<≧∇≦>/~☆

Oh! < ̄□ ̄;>

But first… Here’s something I had to do for Rocketd‘s tag. Strangely though… I uploaded a series of photos but I keep getting.. ↓

… How come? <.___.>{?]

Anyway, those who want to find out their comparism with infamous idols, go to http://www.myheritage.com/, fill up a very quick sign up and then proceed to http://www.myheritage.com/celebrity-collage to start the moment of truth. (Laughs)

Baa.. <u_u> This is all from Ms.Aya the sheep! \<´・ω・`>/~♥

PPS: While writing this entry, the radio played one of my favorite songs which is The Man in the Mirror by Michael Jackson. I started dancing around and suddenly, I feel more motivation flowing in my veins… Hur~ray~♫

At the end of this entry, somewhere in this world.. An ugly duckling has finally transformed into a gorgeous swan!

Sahh.. *nods head* (- -)

In this world there are people out there that kills for beauty .. and i find it rather stupid .. because if you do that you you “might” be beautiful .. but your soul within will be tainted with sin and soiled with blood shed .. For that is not real beauty .

There are two types of beauty .. Looking beautiful and being beautiful which you are certainly correct .

Looking beautiful is face and being beautiful is only seen by the people judging by your personality wise.

And looking beautiful wont last forever .. but being beautiful last for eternity as for your beauty rest within peoples minds . Not on Photos . ( Sonet 18 by William Shakespeare )

humans will never be satisfied .

And dun get me wrong that combing/fixing your hair in front of the mirror is not vain or being a narcissist .. you do that because we all do have to look decent to the society .

=3

They say that “the path to our doom is full of good intentions”, meaning that some things created in the beggining to do good end up being used to destroy one self and others, just like Einstein’s relativity theory. He was researching on nuclear energy to one day enable human kind to use a cheaper alternative power source, but we all know how things ended.

Same goes fo plastic surgery, wich is now used to satisfy people’s vanity, and even to help wanted criminals to change their looks and get away with their crimes…

You need to upload a pic where you are totally facing the cam, profile pics won’t work.

And finally this, something you might find funny:

Hmmm….plastic surgery….what can i say..what can i say?? well yea…the story of the ‘ugly duckling’ is a perfect example of beauty is in the eye of the beholder….i remember watching the cartoon by Walt Disney….when i was younger….touching though….but anyway yep….the entertainment industry especially with celebrities….they would always go through plastic surgery just because they are disatisfied with the way they look on screen or Tv…..this also involves going through pills or diets that are likely to cause more damage than cure…..but on the topic itself…..did you know that Micheal Jackson….famous white-to-black genes….was actually personal because of the fact he was disatisfied with his color and himself?? i have no idea how far that is true though…..

Dear Saru-chan

Nicely said.

Quote: And dun get me wrong that combing/fixing your hair in front of the mirror is not vain or being a narcissist .. you do that because we all do have to look decent to the society.

But if it takes 1 hour+ and you start to fall in love with yourself, can we classify them as vain? (Laughs)

Just kidding.

I want your hall’s mirror! Give it to sheep! (OAO)!!!

Baa… I’m surprise that you didn’t read the article about Issei Sagawa. (o_o)

Dear Mira

If I was the ugly duckling who turned into a swan and that others start flocking around me just because I’m beautiful — I’ll tell them to go screw themselves.

Clearly, they are very discriminating when it comes to looks.

Anyway .. About the Issei Sagawa murder case..

Holy zen, right!? /(0[]0)\{!!!]

Can’t believe they let him off the hook. His time in the mental institute was rather short (assume to be) and he can even write a book about the murder and his experience eating the poor Caucasian women!

Fucktard!

Why didn’t France condemn him to prison?! @#$%&^?!

He fucked her body, ate her part by part — the clitoris and anus also he want to eat. (x_x)lll

Sickening bastard.

Dear Mr.Rocketd

Quote: Same goes fo plastic surgery, wich is now used to satisfy people’s vanity, and even to help wanted criminals to change their looks and get away with their crimes…

That reminds me.. Arnold Schwarzenegger once said that the citizens should present 2 photos: 1 current photo and 1 before plastic surgery.

(Laughs)

I read that in the newspapers long time ago.

You got a good point there, Rocketd. Criminals can easily change their identity with the help of plastic surgery. (- -)lll

Hey thanks for doing the Heritage thing for me.

(Laughs) Apparently I resemble 2 other Aya’s. And.. Holy zen.. Madonna? (+__+)

(Guffaws) Chuck Norris is above us all.

Dear Szanne

Yes, Szanne.. You’re pretty even if you did not read this. (^-^)v

Michael Jackson… He spoiled his preachings by going against nature.

I can’t comprehend these kind of people’s thinking frame either, Szanne. (_ _)

Did you read the full article about Issei Sagawa? It’s damn gross!

I read it while I was eating ice-cream. (Blueeek)

There are cannibals in the rural and jungle areas. As for city people… Never know…

Dear Daisuke

Michael Jackson doesn’t like his skin color it seems.

Wonder what are the greatness he sees in being a white man.

I think I also watched the Walt Disney’s Ugly Duckling before. It was rather sad and pitiful in the beginning, right?

Poor duck.

Makes sheep want to fry all the other ducks and animals who insulted it!

Baa! (T_T)/

Celebrities… (Sighs) They don’t really lead a decent life. All the glam and fame will ruin their decency and if you notice — night life drains out your youth!

The joke was on us ha ha ha!!, the truth is that Chuck Norris sucks!!, and in that book they secretly make fun of him. Chuck Norris is like a cult “kitsch” hero… if you know what I mean.

Dear Lord!!, I read the article about Sagawa… what a sick bastard!!, tough…. I can understand some people’s obssesion to know everything about serial killers… this article made me wonder what in all hells could push someone to perform such a slaughter show…. I got chills.

9.  Ms.Aya
November 6th, 2008 at 11:51 pm

I know. (Laughs) People are mocking him in a way.

About Sagawa.. Apparently, he believed that by eating someone more beautiful and had everything that he does not possess will make him feel — superior?

In one part of the article, he said something about ‘strength’.

Sickening right? Now when I think of Japanese men, the first image that comes to mind is his face.

*Freaks out*

Yaaaaaaaahhh !!! Le vilain petit canard ! (Loves)

I already said you it was my nickname, ain’t aye ?

He’s so cute on the pictures !

Well…

I think that we are made by everything that are around us from birth to “present”, for one something would be nice and for another it would be ugly because they grew differently.

But our society is getting bigger and looks the same more and more all around the world, we’re going from a lot of cultures to an unique culture, that’s why identical opinions about beauty emerges.

In one way, the more we are “connected”, the less we have opinions. But there still are some little differences because there are micro-elements which can vary from one to another (even the tinyest elements is important and there are an infinity of elements).

And the first desire of people in our society is appearence. This way, everyone wants to look “the most beautiful”, but as long as everyone are different there will be as much as “beautiful” as there are peoples, so we are looking for something unreachable.

Desires leads to suffer, a desire is something unreachable and desiring it won’t help having it or get closer, it is the love of this thing that helps you to get closer to it. It’s not because you want to be with your baby (or your mother/father) that you love him/her, it’s because you love him that you’re doing what it must be done to be with. I think desires are bad, and that’s why we are finding some people nice or ugly, knowing that, I won’t say I have no preferences in the looks of things / peoples, because I too grow with things influencing me, so I have opinions, but it doesn’t matter.

I have a lot more to say about this, but I stop flooding ! Gomen !

About canibals, there were African tribes which ate their ennemies after battlefields because they said that when you eat someone, you eat his strenght, and the stronger your opponent is, the more strong you are.

Disgusting~ !

Mr.Circle, your English has improved by folds!

!! Rejoices !!

Have you been reading English books lately? (Grins)

Back to your opinions…

Quote: And the first desire of people in our society is appearance. This way, everyone wants to look “the most beautiful”, but as long as everyone are different there will be as much as “beautiful” as there are peoples, so we are looking for something unreachable.

I agree with this passage. People don’t just want to be beautiful but they want to beat everyone else to it. In other words, they want to be more beautiful than others — regardless of what actions must be taken to achieve that.

Can we call this, “A selfish beauty’?

If so — somehow… I feel they are ugly because they have selfishness built in them. (Tears)

Quote: About cannibals, there were African tribes which ate their enemies after battlefields because they said that when you eat someone, you eat his strength, and the stronger your opponent is, the more strong you are.

I read about that too. They also shrunk their enemies’ head with their bare hands to prove that they are more inferior.

Disgusting indeed.

… Thanks for your long comment! I enjoyed reading it!

Hey ! Thank you, I thought it was poorly written but you say the contrary so, I must have improved a bit !

I’m only reading your messages so if I improved, it is because I read you !

You’re right about the selfish beauty, how can someone be the best in something if he can’t even understand what it is !

Today is a short one, I came before leaving to Paris !

Sheep chan>> It was said MJ was somehow dissapointed or depressed about his skin color….i think or his race….i dono….i can’t tell how true this statement is…..but anyhow…..in conclusion…eating pills and going on diets are not the answer to a perfect body…..your body needs certain nutrients to function too…….your self esteem matters in accepting who you really are in life……..love yourself!!

Dear Mr.Circle

Good luck! (Though you’ve already embark to Paris by now)

Late sheep.. (x_x)

Dear Daisuke

Well.. He had a rough childhood.

If skin color was such a problem, why did he create the song ‘Black or White’?

In the lyrics, he sang “It’s doesn’t matter if you’re black or white”.

His humanity and charity acts could have been strong role model to us if he kept to his preaches. What a bummer..

I agree. Love yourself as you are!
