Mira has really been entertaining everyone during my absence, ne? <^x^>/
I read some of your blogs and I see that everyone is doing rather fine. That’s nice to know. <^-^>/
Anyway, now that sheep is back — Please take care of sheep who has just returned from China. <^v^>/
Sheep followed it’s mummy and uncle to China, reluctantly. For 2 reasons:
- Sheep hates Chinese-speaking people.
- Sheep hates going out with family members.
The reluctant sheep at the air port.
I’m not going to blog about the entire trip because there are just too many things to comment and sad to say — Every destination appeared to look the same to sheep. <T_T> (Tears)
So I’ll just share with you the highlights of this trip — That’s if you’re interested. <;__;>
Outside Beijing's airport
We took the tour for Beijing and we had the privilege to visit the Great Wall of China, Tian Na Men Square and the Bird Nest stadium, where they held the Olympics opening and events. Through the trip, my butt was numb and frozen. <≥A≤>/
We were led by 2 tour guides. One from our own country and the other (who did the most talking) is a local. ↓
Don't know what the F he was saying
Our local tour guide could speak some English but my family still loses out because the trip was entirely in Mandarin.
Anyway moving on..
I’ll start with the Great Wall of China. ↓
Great Wall of China
There’s a lot of fascination and wanders about the Great Wall of China. In fact, it is one of the seven wanders of the world.
Admittedly as a 4th generation Chinese, I don’t know anything about China other than their expertise in corning and scamming for money.
But I do know that the Emperor came up with the idea of building a wall to barricade the country in order to prevent the enemies from intruding.
His idea was fulfilled and even though it was a success and that this great wall has created a huge impact and history for China, the local people can’t help but to weep and mourn instead of being proud.
Because in the process of saving themselves (and the Emperor), they lost a lot of lives just to build this wall. (Tears) <;__;>
Even though I was given the privilege to walk and climb up the Great Wall of China (and the possibility to earn a certificate), I didn’t felt honored because it just didn’t seep into me and on top of that — I’m terrified of heights and steep stairs. (Shivers)
Moreover, the thought of walking on who-knows- how many dead bodies. <- ->lll
Plus, there were a lot of people escalating up and down the steep stairs. I was afraid that some morons might push me and then sheep starts to snowball all the way down from the top. <x__x>lll

Drinking Coke in one of the seven greatest wanders = Best feeling ever!
This is where the archery was stationed. In every few miles, there will be a fort where the archery will camp and stay on guard.
... It would had been better if they had Coke last time.. (Laughs)

Conclusion for The Great Wall of China experience: I discovered that old geezers are more fit and daring than sheep… <_ _>lll
The Great Wall of China is really as great as everyone else’s say. Especially when you try to crack the mystery about how the people managed to build this endless wall with picks and bricks — MANUALLY.
Truly a man-made mystery. <u_u>
Tian Na Men Square
Only then I was told that Tian Na Men Square was — just a square… <_ _>lll
The biggest square in the world — That’s what I heard.
… This is the place where the students who protested against the government was brutally killed. They were shot and the government ran over a tank over those defenseless protesters.
What’s the big deal?
Beats me. I never understand China’s politics no matter how many people or books try to educate me. (Laughs)

I tried to capture an upfront photo of this soldier but he quickly showed me his back. (Tears) The soldiers here are very young and dedicated to serving the country. I learned that not all boys are subjected to serving the country.
I'm not sure if this photo falls under the category of Tian Na Men Square. Because everywhere looks the same.. Anyway.. I pity people who passes by my camera...

Exhibitions
We went to a few exhibitions (jade, pearl, silk, Feng Shui) but since the briefings were all spoken in Mandarin — I had no blady idea what is what.
So I recorded a couple of short videos with my own presumptions. (Laughs)

In the silk video, they were demonstrating to us how the silk is stretch out layers by layers to create the stuffing for comforters/blankets.
As you can see… My tour groupies are barbarians. (Laughs)

Forbidden City
I looked from afar, admiring the mystery of the Forbidden City — believing that no one has ever set their foot there after the death of their Emperor.
To be able to see it from afar is more than satisfying for me.
However, just when I was about to pack and leave for home, I was told that on the 3rd day of this tour — I DID went in to the Forbidden City. I DID take pictures there and even Sieg Hiel to the crowd. <OAO>{?] ↓

This is the reason why I didn't know that I visited Forbidden City. He was speaking gibberish. <_ _>lll

Sheep & Mummy
Eating ice-cream while enjoying the icy cold wind and boat ride. The ice-cream flavour was Melamine, by the way. The wind was so strong, I could barely keep my eyes open.
2 of our group members went missing. So sheep helped by waving the flag. (Laughs)

Honestly, I didn’t enjoy myself in this trip and I don’t care if my family wants to believe I was happy or overwrite their happiness over mine. After all, it doesn’t matter to either of us.
It was darn boring and I don’t wish to travel for the next 5 years.

I’ve never been to China, but I’d like to visit places like Hong Kong or Singapore… mainly because I really really want to try those famous chinese style noodles, (though I don’t know how stupid it’d sound to go all the way to China just to sip noodles). And I want to visit The Vault!!…

Sheep feels ashamed of its country.
Beijing is really great. It’s like a mega size version of Singapore. Although the people here have the tendency to spit and litter, they still pick up after their own waste.
However, the toilets there are really smelly.
They appear to be clean and not wet (unlike our blady toilets) but there’s still some foul smell.
The women here don’t seem to bother to flush the toilets after usage. (_ _)
(Laughs) Anyone would assume that the dogs here will be serve on the dining table eventually.

It was boring for 2 reasons.
1. Everything was in Mandarin. So I couldn’t understand anything.
2. Everywhere looks the same. Even their trees are down right communist.
Singapore is a great place to hang out. Better to go there than Malaysia. I’m not joking.
Here in Malaysia, they detain a 6 year old girl under ISA (Internal Security Act)
Talk about power abuse. (Rages)

When I was taking these 2 pictures, I was thinking. “Oh ya! Mr.Rocketd is a sneaker fan!”. And then I realized… “Shoot. The shoes are too colorful for a guy”. (Tears)

The temperature ranged from 16 – 4 Celsius degree and 2 Celsius degree in Chengde.
Long johns?! I didn’t have any of those.
I wore 3 layers of blouses and skirts! But after I found out it was seriously cold, then I wore jeans.
What did you wear when you were there?
Ya! I saw the menu in Mcdonalds~ They have their own type of burgers~ As for KFC, they have satays!

oh and toilet habits! one of china’s biggest highlights! haha. they dont close the doors when they pee! true true?? and the cublicles are so low that when you get up, you can see the person next door doing their business. like what the hell. no need for porn man.
well, mostly long pants. cos it was negative degrees. but it even after 3 layers, i was shivering madness. haha. and i didnt have the heater on cos it thought it’s the air cond! omg. haha. imagine me curled up in bed with the comforter like beggar.
