Tadaima, minna-hun~♥

Mira has really been entertaining everyone during my absence, ne? <^x^>/

I read some of your blogs and I see that everyone is doing rather fine. That’s nice to know. <^-^>/

Anyway, now that sheep is back — Please take care of sheep who has just returned from China. <^v^>/

Sheep followed it’s mummy and uncle to China, reluctantly. For 2 reasons:

  1. Sheep hates Chinese-speaking people.
  2. Sheep hates going out with family members.
The reluctant Ms.Aya

The reluctant sheep at the air port.

I’m not going to blog about the entire trip because there are just too many things to comment and sad to say — Every destination appeared to look the same to sheep. <T_T> (Tears)

So I’ll just share with you the highlights of this trip — That’s if you’re interested. <;__;>

Outside Beijings airport

Outside Beijing's airport

We took the tour for Beijing and we had the privilege to visit the Great Wall of China, Tian Na Men Square and the Bird Nest stadium, where they held the Olympics opening and events. Through the trip, my butt was numb and frozen. <≥A≤>/

We were led by 2 tour guides. One from our own country and the other (who did the most talking) is a local. ↓

Dont know what the F he was saying

Don't know what the F he was saying

Our local tour guide could speak some English but my family still loses out because the trip was entirely in Mandarin.

Anyway moving on..

I’ll start with the Great Wall of China. ↓

Greatn Wall of China

Great Wall of China

There’s a lot of fascination and wanders about the Great Wall of China. In fact, it is one of the seven wanders of the world.

Admittedly as a 4th generation Chinese, I don’t know anything about China other than their expertise in corning and scamming for money.

But I do know that the Emperor came up with the idea of building a wall to barricade the country in order to prevent the enemies from intruding.

His idea was fulfilled and even though it was a success and that this great wall has created a huge impact and history for China, the local people can’t help but to weep and mourn instead of being proud.

Because in the process of saving themselves (and the Emperor), they lost a lot of lives just to build this wall. (Tears) <;__;>

Even though I was given the privilege to walk and climb up the Great Wall of China (and the possibility to earn a certificate), I didn’t felt honored because it just didn’t seep into me and on top of that — I’m terrified of heights and steep stairs. (Shivers)

Moreover, the thought of walking on who-knows- how many dead bodies. <-    ->lll

Plus, there were a lot of people escalating up and down the steep stairs. I was afraid that some morons might push me and then sheep starts to snowball all the way down from the top. <x__x>lll

A~ah well.. Me and my fears.. <u_u>

Here’s a short video I took after I decided to sit down and get in everyone’s way towards the top. (Laughs) ↓

Conclusion for The Great Wall of China experience: I discovered that old geezers are more fit and daring than sheep… <_   _>lll

The Great Wall of China is really as great as everyone else’s say. Especially when you try to crack the mystery about how the people managed to build this endless wall with picks and bricks — MANUALLY.

Truly a man-made mystery. <u_u>

Tian Na Men Square

Only then I was told that Tian Na Men Square was — just a square… <_   _>lll

The biggest square in the world — That’s what I heard.

… This is the place where the students who protested against the government was brutally killed. They were shot and the government ran over a tank over those defenseless protesters.

What’s the big deal?

Beats me. I never understand China’s politics no matter how many people or books try to educate me. (Laughs)

I pity people who passes by my camera...

I'm not sure if this photo falls under the category of Tian Na Men Square. Because everywhere looks the same.. Anyway.. I pity people who passes by my camera...

Not sure if this one is also taken in Tian Na Men Square... ^-^lll

Exhibitions

We went to a few exhibitions (jade, pearl, silk, Feng Shui) but since the briefings were all spoken in Mandarin — I had no blady idea what is what.

So I recorded a couple of short videos with my own presumptions. (Laughs)

Forbidden City

I looked from afar, admiring the mystery of the Forbidden City — believing that no one has ever set their foot there after the death of their Emperor.

To be able to see it from afar is more than satisfying for me.

However, just when I was about to pack and leave for home, I was told that on the 3rd day of this tour — I DID went in to the Forbidden City. I DID take pictures there and even Sieg Hiel to the crowd. <OAO>{?] ↓

A-re!? <OAO>

That was Forbidden City!?

This is the reason why I didnt know that I visited Forbidden City.

Honestly, I didn’t enjoy myself in this trip and I don’t care if my family wants to believe I was happy or overwrite their happiness over mine. After all, it doesn’t matter to either of us.

It was darn boring and I don’t wish to travel for the next 5 years.

Gosh… Everywhere in China looks the same to the point I can’t tell which photo is taken in where! <x_x>

With that said — I apologize for my grumpiness thereby take my leave. <u_u,>

YAY for Dr. M!!!!

IMHO Beijing was really nice and made me proud to be Chinese.

and..and.. for some strange reason when I saw the dog, my first thought was, “are they gonna eat it?”

Sounds like you didn’t have much fun over there…hmm. I’ve never been to China, but I’d like to visit places like Hong Kong or Singapore… mainly because I really really want to try those famous chinese style noodles, (though I don’t know how stupid it’d sound to go all the way to China just to sip noodles). And I want to visit The Vault!!…

Anyways, welcome back!!. I liked your sneakers by the way..hu hu hu… my my, bad habits are the hardest to get rid off.

Dear Mau-chan

Sheep feels ashamed of its country.

Beijing is really great. It’s like a mega size version of Singapore. Although the people here have the tendency to spit and litter, they still pick up after their own waste.

However, the toilets there are really smelly.

They appear to be clean and not wet (unlike our blady toilets) but there’s still some foul smell.

The women here don’t seem to bother to flush the toilets after usage. (_ _)

(Laughs) Anyone would assume that the dogs here will be serve on the dining table eventually.

(Cries)

Dear Mr.Rocketd

It was boring for 2 reasons.

1. Everything was in Mandarin. So I couldn’t understand anything.
2. Everywhere looks the same. Even their trees are down right communist.

Singapore is a great place to hang out. Better to go there than Malaysia. I’m not joking.

Here in Malaysia, they detain a 6 year old girl under ISA (Internal Security Act)

Talk about power abuse. (Rages)

Oh, my sneakers. It’s ADIDAS.

I took 2 pictures of sneakers for you but they are NIKE brand. (Laughs)

Not sure if you’ll like them. (Nervous laughs)

4.  Rocketd

You did?? really??. I certainly do luv Adidas, but that doesn’t mean I hate the other brands. In fact, Nike has many awesome sneakers, specially Nike’s dunks are damn cool.

I’ll like them^^. Thank you!

Detain??, why??, why would they detain a 6 year old girl??. I didn’t quite get that :(

Tadaima, minna-hun~ (Bows)

Dear Mr.Rocketd

Here are the photos I took for you:

http://i329.photobucket.com/albums/l389/paperdiaries/P1050800.jpg

When I was taking these 2 pictures, I was thinking. “Oh ya! Mr.Rocketd is a sneaker fan!”. And then I realized… “Shoot. The shoes are too colorful for a guy”. (Tears)

I didn’t go in because we were in the rush. Otherwise I would have taken pictures of more manly shoes. (Laughs)

About our country — (Sighs) Anything can happen as long as we have our current government.

Dear Pixy

Yea… I don’t like going out with family.

I was very grumpy and moody throughout the trip.

… Can Pixy speak Mandarin? (.___.){?]

Dear Szanne

A yawnfest right? (Laughs)

Why can’t you view the photos? (.__.)

Anyway, I agree. There are lots of cheap stuffs. But you have to fight to knock the price down. Otherwise they sell you at an unreasonable price.

My family got cheated twice. (- -)lll

When did you visit China and what season was it back then?

Dear Saru-chan

Disgusting right?

At least we now know that she’s (the model) is not a virgin anymore. (Laughs)

Now that you point that out… Yea… He’s grabbing his crotch! (OAO)!!!

The cats there are tame and cute. Very chubby~

I took these cat pictures for Mr.Circle.

Don’t know if he has seen them yet.

… *runs over to Saru-chan’s blog*

Dear Gray

Hey! We went to the same place!!!

That’s damn cool~!

I also took picture of the highway toll~! (the one leaving the airport highway)

But I didn’t get to see the panda. (Tears)

Yours was for how many days?

October 29th, 2008 at 10:46 am

Hey, well, I’m blushing. >.<’

I just read that you took the cat picture for me, that’s very kind from you ! They are cute, the one with a chocolate-nose is funny.

Well… About your trip… Enjoy you bed ! (Laughs, comfort)

Nothing is ever lost.

I’m a bit ill since yesterday, my brain is like a smelted cheese. (Laughs)

You’re very kind. Baaah. Glad you’re back. Baaah.

Dear Mr.Circle

I also took some other photos for the others (Saru-chan, Pixy …) But I haven’t put them up yet.

I hope you like the cats.

The one with the chocolate nose is really kawaii, ne?

Very clever to pose~

I hope you recover soon. Have some rest and eat healthily ok?

I’m positive that you’ll restore your health quickly (since you didn’t go to China and had the risk of consuming Melamine) *LAUGHS*

yeah, you have to like pretend to walk away because you’re unhappy with the price and then they’ll call after you to come back and agree to reduce the price. haha. it’s a tourist must-know trick.

hmm. late last year. was winter. did you have long johns on? i didnt. i thought i didnt need it. so i went without it. but boy, was i so wrong. haha. what was the temperature over there? cos you seem to be taking cold drinks and ice creams!

Oh well, go and rest until you recover. (^-^)v

Hugs your own cats~! (Laughs)

Dear Szanne

Yea, the people there are very hard-up, desperate and persistent! They hold you by your arm when you already say no. (_ _)

Since you’ve been there… Any comments about their toilets/toilet habits? (^-^)lll

The temperature ranged from 16 – 4 Celsius degree and 2 Celsius degree in Chengde.

Long johns?! I didn’t have any of those.

I wore 3 layers of blouses and skirts! But after I found out it was seriously cold, then I wore jeans.

What did you wear when you were there?

Ya! I saw the menu in Mcdonalds~ They have their own type of burgers~ As for KFC, they have satays!

Hey, which part of China did you visit?

Dear Saru-chan

Makes you feel like squeezing it, na? (Laughs)

Yes, pork rules!

When you are there, it’s like … What the heck is halal? (.__.)

oh and toilet habits! one of china’s biggest highlights! haha. they dont close the doors when they pee! true true?? and the cublicles are so low that when you get up, you can see the person next door doing their business. like what the hell. no need for porn man.

well, mostly long pants. cos it was negative degrees. but it even after 3 layers, i was shivering madness. haha. and i didnt have the heater on cos it thought it’s the air cond! omg. haha. imagine me curled up in bed with the comforter like beggar.

Szanne,

Exactly! Looks like both you and I experienced the horror of public toilets in China!

They don’t close their doors, don’t flush and they practically don’t give a damn about their toilet habits!

Porn in their toilets? EEeew.. That’s gross!

People want to see nudity and copulation in porn — not diarrhea coming out from their anus. (Screams)

Ok… You went through a helluva more violent weather than me. (Laughs)

Were you like — Able to walk and talk?

Because I couldn’t. I was like “Ba….a….a….a…………” (x_x)

I remember — You don’t eat pork…
